I first signed up for Neocities when I realized I was losing my mind to social media during my first year of college. Building my own website seemed more appealing than algorithmic brainrot while still letting me feel as though I had a presence online, so here I am :-) making what I feel to be a more substantial, satisfying, earnest, and authentic mark on the Internet.
Mygrain looks incredibly different from when I started it. Summer 2023, I worked on a mountain where the Wi-Fi connection was tragic at best, and with wanting to be in nature as much as possible, I took a break from Mygrain and consequently forgot everything I ever knew about HTML :,) As of December 18, Mygrain was born anew with half-assed fantasy/dark fantasy aesthetics. As of May, I've been working on switching to the toybox theme. I'm consistently terrible at really sticking to a theme and honestly just view coding my site as a fun puzzle to solve, so rest assured, I'll probably be changing the theme again before I'm even settled into this one.
I'm an unoriginal stinker! I stole it from a bumper or commercial or something when I was watching uploads of MTV's Singled Out (hosted by Chris Hardwick and Jenny McCarthy) on YouTube. I'm a sucker for old MTV and 90s shit in general. I would've been so cool as a 20-something in the 90s life is so unfair (I was definitely born in the right generation). I thought it also kinda upheld my view of coding -- something precious that comes with difficulties: my grain and a migraine, if you will.

I also use DALLE for image generation wah wah the future is now!! While y'all cry about how you definitely regularly pay artists for their online content (suspicious emoji) I'm over here draped over a Blender model of a fainting couch alongside my robot fiance, being painted by DaVinci.ai.html.c.jp.gov. I'm a Jetson you're a Flintstone suck it. Only joshing, I just don't have the creative abilities or patience to draw all the pretty stuff I want on this website.
